Khruangbin is a Houston, Texas-based psychedelic funk trio known for their globally-influenced, instrumental sound, blending Thai funk, Middle Eastern psych, soul, and surf rock, featuring Laura Lee (bass), Mark Speer (guitar), and Donald "DJ" Johnson (drums). Formed from friends meeting in church bands, they craft atmospheric soundscapes, with their distinctive name meaning "airplane" in Thai, reflecting their diverse musical journey.
